In 2002 I traveled with a handful of friends to Romania in Eastern Europe. We had no outright purpose other to experience the culture and love on the people. Neither of which was difficult.
An experience I will never forget was the day spent in an aids orphanage. Born with aids these children were abandoned and rejected from their families and towns. Many had their hands and faces covered with the lesions as a daily reminder. We spent the day doing puppets, dressing up as clowns, playing games, and giving them stuffed animals.
